Is the Justice pretending that he doesn't know how to look up and interpret laws, so he had to ask "other people " if his ethics violations were allowed? Either he is lying about that or is incompetent. Neither is a good look for a Supreme Court Judge!!
That was funny, that trans students and parents are traumatized by this. What about the female athletes that basically are going to have become he-men to be able to compete in their own sports. How about them being traumatized losing to a trans athlete?
JK Rowling saw this issue rising early and tried to warn us. There needs to be medical research done on this instead of flat out acceptance of this same as gays. If someone is gay it doesn't affect anyone really. Trans is different. Trans is more like a religion, I believe and so you should respect my belief, like a religion. The rule in the US has always been that you can believe whatever you want, until it imposes on someone else's rights.
Yes, back in the 1960s the Southern racists tried to argue that segregation was part of their religion. SCOTUS struck that down. And people will say that Trans are same as segregation, except this isn't based on religion but on science. Men and women are physically different, regardless of what sex they believe they are. The trans argument is that their belief outweighs science and social norms that been in place forever.
Hypocritic Clarence Thomas knew well that the one-sided "hospitality" he received from a Republican billionaire amounted to a MASSIVE 20-years-long bribe. It compromised any integrity he may have had as a Supreme Court justice, by his 20-year-long, vociferously anti-democratic, and far right GOP judgments. Corrupt Thomas should be impeached.

If you want Justice, remember Illinois' Governor J.B. Pritzker (potential 2024 DNC Presidential Candidate) just contributed ONE MILLION DOLLARS to the campaign fund of TWO (each) Illinois Justices during the 2022 elections, which is a violation of his own Illinois' Ethics Legislation. If "Justice" has to be served for Justice Thomas, then "Justice" must be fair and Illinois' Governor J.B. Pritzker and the TWO Illinois Justices that accepted the ONE MILLION DOLLARS, EACH, MUST BE prosecuted as well.
Thus far, there have been 2 justices with alleged character issues during their hearings – Clarence and Brett. Hopefully, unlike Clarence, Brett will not have ethical issues during his tenure. Btw, which Democrat voted to confirm Clarence? Why?

Under the Mosaic Law, the judges of ancient Israel were supposed to do this: "You are not to pervert the judgment of the poor one among you in his legal case. Have nothing to do with a false accusation, and do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I (God, whose name is Jehovah, see Isa 12:2, KJV) will not declare the wicked one righteous. You must not accept a bribe, for the bribe blinds clear-sighted men and can distort the words of righteous men."(Ex 23:6-8)
However, some 800 years later in the 8th century B.C.E. after the Mosaic Law was given to the nation of Israel, the Bible "book" of Micah says of those in the judicial system of ancient Israel: "Hear this, please, you heads of the house of Jacob and you commanders of the house of Israel, who detest justice and who make crooked all that is straight, who build Zion with bloodshed and Jerusalem with unrighteousness."
"Her leaders judge for a bribe, her priests instruct for a price, and her prophets practice divination for money. And yet they lean on Jehovah, saying: “Is not Jehovah with us ? No calamity will come upon us (making light of their corruption, see Prov 14:8 that says: "Fools make fun of guilt").”(Micah 3:9-11)
So, what then happened to the "crooked" judicial system of ancient Israel ? Micah 3:12 says: "So because of you (or because of your crookedness and injustice), Zion will be plowed up as a field, Jerusalem will become heaps of ruins, and the mountain of the House (the "sacred temple") will become like high places in a forest (grown up with weeds due to no one taking care of it, because its inhabitants have been exiled to Babylon, see 2 Kings 25:11)."
What is to happen to the world's judicial systems that often fail to bring justice forth ? The same as with the nation of ancient Israel, of being destroyed at what is called Armageddon, "the war of the great day of God the Almighty" (Rev 16:14, 16), in which a heavenly government called God's Kingdom will destroy them (see Dan 2:44, 45) and do as it says at Matthew 12 with Jesus at its "helm":
"Look ! My servant (Jesus, as king of God's Kingdom) whom I chose, my beloved, whom I have approved ! I will put my spirit upon him, and what justice is he will make clear to the nations. He will not quarrel nor cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the main streets. No bruised reed will he crush, and no smoldering wick will he extinguish, until he brings justice with success. Indeed, in his name nations will hope."(Matt 12:18-21)
His response: he is supposed to be a lawyer and has no moral ethics. He is trying to justify his inaction to report these gifts and does not see that this shows a possibility of conflict of favorable or influence of future decisions before the court. It’s obvious that both his wife and him believe they can do whatever other want. They have no accountability for their actions. Scums 🤬
