This could've been a wonderful teaching moment that was squandered. Gender fluidity is such a new idea for people, why can't she recognize that? It isn't productive expecting people to suddenly catch on to concepts that are literally a couple years old. Calling him transphobic shut down a chance for him to learn something new and I hope she recognizes that for the next time she's in an exchange like that–It's imperative to teach and not to judge, especially in these matters.
The only one heated was Khiara Bridges. Senator Hawley couldn't believe the idiocy coming out a supposed educated persons mouth. Professor Bridges was condescending, rude and obviously felt like Senator Hawley was a hick from Missouri. Last time I checked Senator Hawley went to Stanford, Yale Law School and was a clerk for John Roberts. He obviously is not fool and just believes what 95% of other Americans believe. Only woman can get pregnant a Trans male is a woman biologically period.

So many trans commit suicide, and it was the norm for years before this hearing. But listening to her it sounds as if Josh Hawley asking these questions caused the death of many people five years ago.
The debate in US is off-track at so many levels… Hopefully we in the scandinavian countries can avoid getting influenced by the radicals from both the right and left wing in US.

The senator basically was denying that a trans “man” can get pregnant, while also not acknowledging that there are groups of people that can also be non binary to gender. The professor wasn’t speaking in general like the Senator wanted her to
