It's actually better for China to run on Taiwan while Russia is engaged with Ukraine and Nato, The draw in and the possible triggers that would occur in other areas would be a useful dispersion of western force. Getting these things settled concurrently is best for China because rebuilding economic ties is easier if their is actually some stability afterwards rather than staggering conflict, also the added pressure of stacking such actions together just happens to compound the problems that The western alliance would have to contend with thereby making them weaker both militarily and domestically. If I was Xi, I'd either go this year as fuel cost spike or next year during the general election while there is still an idiot in the White house.
