Look. I am disabled, but I could still see some students a little at a time to teach. Here is what I have learned. You make their brains work. And those older textbooks that were used back in the day with "get back to the basics" ARE the textbooks to use. You can read if you learn to sound out the words and practice by reading to me and you can become good in math if you build on previous skills. You must learn to add, subtract, multiply (which is a quick way of adding up) and divide. You must learn your fractions. NO CALCULATORS unless I give you problems to use with calculators. You must use a pencil. This is possible. We can because we care.
What’s the point here? Is LJ suppose to take up residency there and actually teach each student🤷🏾♂️ when students are not learning we need to check their home life and habits but also check the teachers and administrators. It’s good to hear that there is a new principal coming in and hopefully this will turn things around.🙏🏾
