I'm wondering if the Republicans are trying to weaken the government while enemies are getting ready to attack. Then blame it on the government anyways
Let us remember that the speaker’s staff, 5 or 6, plus his health insurance, plus his title, plus his higher than congressmen’s normal salary and all their social security benefits at congressional rates REMAIN for the rest of his life. He’s set for life, that is why congressmen take the job…..to be a fall guy.
I am not a fan of him but I think he is a hero in preventing the government shutdown.
The most significant aspect of this GOP infighting is the halting of US funding the Ukrainians in the war against the Russian invasion. This means that if some of the commentors are correct, that will dry up funding of that war by other governments. Thus, Ukraine will fall to Russia, and that will only be the beginning of Putin's incursions into other nations that he deems as Russian enclaves. With some of those sovereign states being NATA members, how long would it be before the invocation of Article 15? Frightening!
If it weren't for his manifold disingenuity, the species marker of his breed, I could seam into a whole the small patches of admiration I have felt for McCarthy.
