I dream of the day we Americans finally partake in a General Strike. This country truly has the potential to be the greatest on earth. We have the resources, the population, the money, the education, decent average age, the immigration flow, and the military for it. We just have to start demanding and forcing the government to start investing in its people again.
Living wage, healthcare for all, pedestrian centered infrastructure, public transportation, etc. I hope this increase in strikes really is the beginning of that.

there used to be many grants for artists in the 1960s through the 1990s. then the government decided art wasn't important anymore and it all dried up.
The sooner the entire industry join the strikes, the sooner things will get resolved and go back to normal.
