Los Angeles County officials along with the city council have issued an apology for the “shameful” Zoot Suit Riots 80 years later. In 1943, white, uniform servicemen attacked young Mexican, Latino, Filipino and Black men for wearing the suits in a series of riots that swept the city for a week.

Better late then Never for the apology from LA County Supervisors who tolerated injustice to the Cultures of Latin population decades past; their actions are solely derive from prejudice. Every culture under the Freedoms of America are allowed to wear their own customs as choose, and not be labeled as criminals nor outlaws of the USA. The America is built on the melting pot of many cultures mixed together as Citizens – not Anglo of one culture to dictate what clothing is proper and what is unacceptable – Facts. Among millions of Chicanos who served in all branches of the USA Military as proud Men representing this America, hence, at home can wear their own culture clothing as proud men as well.
