After getting lost during a hike in Ventura, California, a group of 10 teenagers turned to the SOS feature on their iPhones to call for help. NBC News’ Miguel Almaguer has the story.

This allows stupid people to take even stupider risks out there.
It saved my life twice so far. A car hit me and I flew off an embankment out of site and the person that hit me just left the scene. I used SOS and services where there in less than 5 minutes.

It’s a feature that most won’t have to use, but is life saving when is needed. All phones should have this.
So they can use that feature but not gps. 🐠y
This feature was worth it when they saved one life. Very cool to see its impact.
