If you think removing so-called assault rifles from the hands of law abiding citizens is going to change something, you are living under a rock. On a side note, imagine a hypothetical situation in which a mass murderer can't get an assault rifle and then opts to make a bomb. Beware if intentional consequences.

This has nothing to do with an assault weapons ban. The man was a military firearms expert, he'd have access to all the guns even with an assault weapons ban in place.

There were red flags on this guy for a long time. The mentality unstable individual that pulled the trigger is the criminal here. He set it up and planned it. Banning the gun will be banning a citizens right to defend themselves against the same threat. It can happen in any city in every state. The real problem is not the gun itself, it’s the mental health of the people in this country! They’ve closed many institutions that could help. All the money we allow the government to shovel into other people’s problems and they don’t even care about their own constituents
