What a wonderful idea. In my schooling, it was expected that you would go on to attend college. I did for 1&1/2 years and it was time wasted. I forged ahead with many jobs in trades and manufacturing. I also worked on small boats as a deckhand, then went to diesel engine school for one year, eight years after graduating high school. I spent twenty years on the boats in total, having worked most of them as Chief Engineer aboard some of the largest private yachts in the world. I’ve been back in the states for 15 years, started and ran a successful commercial and residential solar installation company, switched to installing residential propane generators, and now just take care of my off grid customers and my 83 year old mother. It took a very long time for me to find my niche. Had a program like this been available to me as a youngster, I would have gotten a jump on my career path. T’was a long and winding road.
Trade schools are great life lessons, with hands on training for the real world.
Now here’s a smart idea – bring back shop class , who would have thought – but they’ll screw it up with all the laws they’ll put around it of course. The woke crowd will never let it happen at scale.
Then hem kids has a Lucky extra certifications… And paid better later on.

This is the way. I walked away from a career in social work for a trade. I was slaving away helping the left push their agenda while seeing friends pull $100k+ and making peanuts. You can fix machines and make things, but you can’t fix people.
This is good. Our youth have been neglected and are living in fear of the future and of the lawlessness in this country. Good Job helping the young students.
