Most underrated bowler 😢😢
NZ is ruthless when it comes to giving their hero’s a good send off. Martin Guptill got discarded with, now Wagner. Come on NZC Wagner is still your 3rd best test match bowler by far
Truly ❤
The success of NZ cricket from 2014 under Brendon Mccullum and Kane Willaimson has to be credited to Neil Wagner.
To come onto bowl in middle overs after the new ball duo of Trent Boult and Tim Southee had finished their spells and take wickets by bowling consistently short of good length while keeping a check on the run flow made NZ bowling exciting to watch
His passion, relentlessness and never-say-die attitude will be missed on the field !!
Edit: His 158 overs in the 3 match test series in Australia where he took 17 wickets while bowling 30+ overs in the 1st innings after NZ lost all tosses was an epitome of what he brought to the game
