Democracy, you can express dissent however those voted in via the election process which is to the best of the process available thier due to the preference of the majority, must not be subject to threats or actual violence. Wow! How much did that court trial cost? How much time and effort was spent on it? How much did the press capitalize on it? It was blatantly OBVIOUS the intruder was guilty from day one!!!!!! These cases are outrageously costly and protracted by a generally broken, often corrupt, police and judicial system. Whatever happened to a speedy trial? This was and open and shut case. Easy-peasey!
What was the worse crime? The vicious, ugly, hateful insinuations that the victim may have invited the attack due to some immoral liaison with the attacker should be in the public eye far more than the attack. Those fetid, filthy, gratuitous insinuations made by news outlets and politicians are the REAL crime and should be splashed on the news and thoroughly prosecuted and the perpetrators convicted of libel and slander!
