When I used to ride my bike in the park, I was always surprised at how many females were jogging by themselves, as it became dark outside.
If I was running a bit late and began my 10 mile ride near sunset in the fall months, I would be at the 5 mile turnaround fence when it got dark. On my way back to the parking lot, I would almost always see 2 or 3 lone female joggers. This park is in the city, and has a reputation of being very safe – this is in the safest US city – but why take the chance? Why not jog on a sidewalk in neighborhood.
