Charlie Gregory was on a 3 a.m. fishing trip off the coast of St. Augustine, when a wave knocked over his boat, dumped his flares and cell phone and whisked him away 12 miles with no working motor. NBC News’ Sam Brock shares more on how the Coast Guard found him and the emotional reunion with his family.

He went out there to take others' lives but is glad the rest of society made a big effort to save his.
That's called not being prepared. Apparently no life jacket. Stuff not secured. Important things not kept in air-filled plastic bags to keep them dry and floating.
And what question does the national news show him answering, repeatedly? How much he thought he was gonna die—not what he did wrong and what people should do better than he did to avoid getting into such a situation.
And then the objective news calls it a miracle instead of just sticking with the obvious fact that it was a combination of chance and human effort.
He became the food in the sea …

Wow! Im a parent, and can only try to imagine. The stress, the anguish, and then the relief. Looks like he was down so low in spirits. He wasn't even baling sea water anymore. So for now, everyone come close and re-affirm ones commitment to be against evil. To do that do that, its not to just say, "Im on the good side". Its about doing something, that makes ones God to feel re-assured about.
People say l was a tough dad. This is why and I'd do it the same all over again.
Young man should've respected the sea. Nothing to play around with..

What a great story and even better a happy ending. My heart goes out to his parents especially his mother. Charlie is very blessed to have a mother and father that love him so much. Charlie you are young and sometimes we think when we are at that age of 19-25 years we are invincible. Crab boats and large fishing vessles capsize and dissappear all the time in the ocean so why would you ever be out in a 8 foot raft that literally cant handle a wave bigger then a foot without taking on water…….glad he was found alive for his familys sake but the fact other men and woman had to risk there own lives finding someone who took stupid risks isnt right at the end of the day but glad hes ok non the less. Whats that saying…….oh ya play stupid games win stupid prizes??

40 hours alone in the ocean is a very very long time to think about life, I can't even imagine what was going through his head.
