The sun is out where she is. Also, when is 2 inches of rain a massive storm? Nothing has happened yet. Every time it rains, people that build on a hill of sand have issues because, duh, you built on a hill of sand. You are not tied into bedrock or anything. Every rain of any amount and people panic.
