For a youngish man of 54, Matty had a number of health issues besides addiction: diabetes, emphysema, and the autopsy revealed a 50-75% narrowing of the left anterior descending coronary artery known as "the widowmaker." This man was not going to live into great old age. Sadly.
So sad…another accidental death! And that, just after he got his life mostly back. R.I.P. Angel…with no pain or fear anymore <3

Sadly, he did not overcome his addiction. When he spoke in interviews, I didnt hear he say he surrounds himself with others in recovery working a program. He was in AA? Who was his sponsor? Where were all the other Hollywood ppl in recover? Did he reach out to them? Bottom line, he couldnt live using nor in recovery, life of an addiction is very difficult without the right kind of support and living life completely sober. One day at a time! RIP Mathew.

The buprenorphine I don’t think had anything to do with this as it has a ceiling effect but the ketamine on the other hand is a whole new ball game.
