  1. I found this interview concerning because he fluctuated from the first person to the third person yet he never identified as “Matty” that he says he is known as personally. When talking about his addiction he refers to himself in the third person, Matthew Perry, and disassociates. Not once does he say Matty or “I” when talking about his darkest times. You cannot compartmentalize yourself. He says we will know when he relapses “when he says he is cured.” By denying his addiction and deflecting to a third party that he doesn’t answer to concerns me greatly. I wish him well but I’m not convinced that he is clean and sober and in a place to help others yet. He also says he wasn’t high on set then later says he was slurring words, cast members also said he reeked of alcohol and he said he drank vodka from a water bottle on his way to the set which makes him drunk on the set. You can’t be taking 55 pain killers in a day and not be under the influence on the set. That interview was full of contradictions.

Diane Sawyer didn’t do a great job asking him the hard questions.

I believe he isn’t yet fully clean right now but I do wish him well on his journey there.

  2. Matthew, You have been a blessing to so many people. God has always had a special plan for you. Your talent, your advice, your experiences, all are going to help people. Thank you for being so transparent. God bless, and I am sending so many hugs your way!!

  3. admitting this before the world… now that is bravery. thank you from other addicts like us, just a different poison.

  4. Not buying his book for bashing Keanu! Low class … it fits his face. Aged horribly and ugly … inside out! Keanu is beautiful, inside and out.

  5. Hey Diane why don't you interview the people that started this epidemic the drug companies and these Drs that prescribed this crap like it was candy and made tons of money let's interview the mothers and fathers that lost there children that are not worth 80 million and tell there story before there book is realeased give me a bleeping break

  6. Addiction hurts my sister. I will never give up on her. Matthew, she's going to watch this. <3

  7. I don't believe this guy is sober, in fact his words are slurring in the interview. Believe he has gone broke and this is to sell his book. We need to worry about the millions that are starting drugs in the future. This guy is all about money I believe that.

  8. Here's a idea….if you want to help people make the book free and/or donate proceeds to help others.

  9. This guy is a bum so he comes out with this now for what why not talked about this 20yrs ago it's not a surprise to me he got a book to push so when the camera turn off is he going to get another fix? This man is a junkie period!!!!

  10. Nice guy but not the full wack.

  11. Struggles, we did that stuff for fun

  12. Why is the volume so low?

  13. May he continue his sobriety and stay focus day by day. God bless him.

  14. Yet he trashed Keanu Reeves for no reason, I can't think of anything else he has been in other than friends, I don't think he's won a battle, just caused a stalemate. He's definitely still drinking.

  15. He's obviously drinking still.

  16. Glad he's doing well love him and Friends i was shocked at the total amount he said he used to get sober it like 9 to 15 Millions imagine all of the help he could of used the money for instead of using it for his addiction

  17. Congrats on beating the demons of addiction. Now he needs to take a deep dive into nutrition and what he’s putting in his body. He appears bloated, with under eye bags and struggling with his weight. We ALL want to see him reach primal health and be around for decades to come. 🙏🏻

  18. Without Jesus our lives are broken. Fame and Fortunę creates an emptiness, a huge hole. Everything is vain.

  19. What's he hiding from? I wonder. Also, i'd tell him to accept life and be thankful because he had been given so much and seemed to have mismanaged his good fortune. When he's day comes and meets the Lord, what and/or how will he answer God's question of Why?

  20. I love Matthew Perry. He was always my fav on the show. I am so glad he came through this. I pray his testimony helps others. God bless you Matt…

  21. spent millions on rehab???? kinda pitiful…

  22. Love matthew … glad that he finds the light in the end of the tunnel

  23. Poor guy but so real. As someone 8 years sober I can understand his journey, it is a lonely and difficult space to be in but once you break free the world is your oyster you just have to take the plunge

  24. "I’ve probably spent $9 million or something trying to get sober" "I mean while drinking a lot and i mean it a lot of dom perignon".

  25. I am alcoholic and addicted to pornography! Glad I got clean & sober

  26. Damn I just said an honest prayer and 9 months later I was sober and cravings were gone… as of today I am 16 months sober

  27. Tisk, tisk, sniffle, sniffle….whoopity freaking doo! Nobody made you do it!

  28. Another Millionaire telling his sad story to make money pretending to write it all to help, while in reality they just want to make more money. If you want to help, work in shelters, give the proceeds from this book to shelters to help the poor who have a harder time to get out of this circle, because they end up on the streets with empty pockets.

  29. I have loved him for years and will continue too forever. Truly a favourite of all actors. Applaud his brutal honesty and for fighting that battle. Well done Matthew!!

  30. I am glad that he lived. Tom Petty and Prince did less drugs and did not. I encountered Scott Weiland by my mom's on Coronado Island right before he died. I hate that! But even Mick Jagger said, "There is no way to say what it is that you lose, when you lose your anonymity." I am just a nobody. There's a difference. I barely ever drink. That is one harsh lifestyle. Don't wanna die like Elvis. Don't die Matt. Everybody hates that.

  31. Weirdest voice over ever! 😂😅

  32. I’m going to see him in NY for his book tour. I think we all have our secrets, some worse than others. I hope his story will encourage those who are going through hard times to have self-compassion.
