In the early 2000's I met Kevin McCarthy when he was a small timer in Bakersfield, California. He was the grand marshal in the Frazier Park Christmas parade, a microscopic mountain community on the boarder between Kern and Los Angeles county. After the parade which lasted all of 3 minutes, he climbed from the convertible he was riding in, while it snowed lightly and was shaking hands with people and after meeting him, my first reaction was… What a scum bag, used car salesman politician. He is a "Slick Rick, fake smile, tell you what you want to hear slim ball, politician" and nothing more.
