Sen. Mitch McConnell said he supported House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s decision to stop in Taiwan during her trip to Asia despite the Chinese government’s warnings. McConnell said it was not uncommon for American lawmakers to go to Taiwan and show support for the democratic island.

Taiwan is a part of China because China has 2 parts due to civil war, Taiwan of China and mainland of China. Currently both 2 parts have their own administrations but UN and almost all countries admit mainland China as the country China. Sooner or later both parts will be united because separation caused by civil war should not last long. Wish for their early unity.

Nancy Pelosi has the right to go anywhere she wants but she should only go to Taiwan as a private citizen. She should take a commercial jet to go to Taiwan on her own expenses without secret service or military protection. As Speaker, she is elected to take care of the problems at home.
