Social programs are essential to a functional society
Market demands.
Daycare center staff need to play nursing.
School teachers have to carry guns acting like private security.
Shop owners have to rely on themselves for safety.
Everyone need to do more to make the same, and everyone has to make more to keep on living.

As a childcare worker I am not trained on how to care for many special needs children. Sometimes we have children with special needs thrown into our classrooms and our ratio doesn’t change. So we also have another 9-12 children and we are alone. The quality of care all the children get at that point is not what it should be and it’s not the teachers fault! I love that there are centers out there for children to get the care they deserve!
Unfortunately the state usually doesn’t offer free training to daycares in order for the kids to be probably taken care of by staff. It’s crazy smh.

I was the educator for the “developmental day” program for children 0-3 at an EC agency. I worked with a nurse and a paraprofessional. 5 kids each day, from 9 to 1, most coming 2x a week. Our speech, OT, and PT came in to see the kids. The program was closed because it wasn’t a “natural environment” for the children under special education law. To be eligible, they had to be 6 Mon delayed in 3 or more areas (speech, fine motor, gross motor, etc).
This is where i want my taxes going! this is so special!
