It is because Americans cannot control their emotions is why there is a made-up mental health crisis. In the end Americans really just don't understand that life and reality is not far or right. But really is just there.
What a heartfelt, spine chilling, tear jerking, awe inspiring News Story from beginning to end. The painful truth is You're All right… Worldwide, we're all going through something and need Counseling, now and then. Sooner or later.
After 3 hospitalizations in 10 years, I still got up every morning and faced the triggers, which continued to gnaw away at my sanity. 15 years later I am away from that situation and have a life much better than I could even imagine. Keep on working your recovery!
Perhaps it's the lack of politicians working on legislation that could improve everyone's lives and make them equal in every dimension. Meanwhile, they are actually the voices that make living life miserable as they do nothing. Stop the hate and get something done that helps others' lives besides just those you care about.
The solution for mental health, stop talking about it. Do something that matters and work on your physical health. Discard the trash advice from the media. ❤🎉 happy new year

I've been in a depression since about 2020 when everything started costing me 10 times more than it used to…
About time we begun to care for humanity and an our people, instead elsewhere.
I have much respect for him for speaking out. An honest politician…who knew?
First of all I know many including me that are suffering from depression. The answer is, it is effin expensive to get care in this country. I tried to get counselling last year, it was so expensive I couldn't do it. Another thing, these national text and call numbers half of time doesnt work. We really need to invest in this as a country and be holistic about it.
Overall, excellent conversations. My only (very minor) criticism: I would have liked to see a correction to the governor who claimed the fight against gender-affirming care for trans kids was about stopping “harmful surgeries.” What is really harming LGBTQ+ youth is the prohibition to talk about what they are feeling with an adult they trust.

Social media is what brought me out of my depression, because I was able to connect with people I did not know existed before.

Suicide rates in the past are very likely much higher than what records show bc of the stigma and shame placed on that act back in the 30s, 40s, and on. I am 43 and found out only last year that my grandfather committed suicide but his parents wanted his death not reported as that. His death was instead reported as accidental bc they didn't want what really happened listed as part of our family history. I'm sure there still as higher statistics today but they weren't as low as they seem a few decades ago. I know my family is not the only one to fudge a cause of death like that.

Now realize that the social media risk is not open, visible and obvious. It's more insidious than that.
The government's role is to ensure a reasonably safe environment. Ensuring that social media is a safe place is congruent with that.

My dad was the first certified ER doctor in the history of TX. Established the 2nd ER residency med program at Darnell hospital in Temple, TX. He shot himself 05-25-2005- Memorial Day Weekend. I know why. I'm the oldest. Think, "Jonestown" in Midland, TX only at one address. As a legal strategist now- and Reverend– and Survivor of Parent Suicide- The narrative I use to help has changed to "what is my/your mental resilience issue?" I do not use mental illness in my preaching. It is harder to say "I need help," and easier to say "I need resources." I know personally. Actual "Anti-Self-Survival" conversations or as Fetterman states as being "dark," Anti-Self-Survival conversations happen! VERY real [brain activity malfunctioning goes on.] I am going to offer a resource: Netflix: "The Chosen." It's got great humor, historical and spiritual information and will bring up those mental resilience levels and those "happy" neurons. It is a start. Baby steps. It could cause you to reach out to community resources.? It is also absolutely free. Nobody reads anymore. LOL Besides, everybody deserves some Footprints in the Sand.
