Hurricane Betsy… People all over the south used to talk about that one and Camille for decades. WDSU meteorologist Nash Roberts used to do his forecasts on a white board with a marker and used to talk about how people were up in the trees for days until water levels came back down.

Why do you let the Government treat themselves as if they are better than the public they serve? Just make the follow the retirement rules, make them take the same health care as the public, only give them retirement funding for the years they worked, etc…..term limits would help the country as a whole. McConnell, Pelosi, Feinstein, Shumer, Grassley, etc….all should be gone.

I am just a mean person. I just don’t care if Mitch stayed in that frozen position. A man that tries to stop healthcare for millions? No people have died because of this man.
Talking about age and politics is not difficult. If you’re old, you should be allowed to be a politician there is something to be said for age and experience. The only reason someone should not be allowed to be a politician is if they have a criminal record that prohibits them from being a politician, or for some reason they are unable to perform their duty in the role that they were elected or appointed. I am a Democrat and I can admit it was very weird watching Mitch McConnell freeze up, but he does not seem to have trouble performing his role as a member of the US Senate. He literally gave a speech that was 20 or 30 minutes long just before that event, I don’t know what happened I don’t know why it happened but he throws up for 30 seconds. I don’t care if he freezes up for 30 seconds every day if he can do his job which he seems to be able to do we shouldn’t be complaining he’s an 81-year-old man experiencing problems that an 81 year old man would likely experience it isn’t stopping him from doing his job of being a US senator. He still brings in money to his state. He still pushes the agenda for his political party and he’s pretty good at it. I’m a Democrat and I can admit to that. I can look at another aging politician Dianne Feinstein and I can honestly admit and say it’s 50/50 for her. Not because she gave that long speech when she just had to vote it was when she was in the hospital for so long I worried could she do her job as a US senator. It’s one thing to be in the hospital for a day a week a month, but she was in the hospital long term. At what point should you say my health and me taking care of my health is affecting my ability to do the work for the people. I also do have to worry about how she might function mentally because I saw her behave irrationally when all she had to do was say yes or no. I worry about that. I don’t care if she’s not as mobile as she used to be I don’t care if she has to be pushed around in a wheelchair so what. If a quadriplegic ones for office and gets elected, guess what they will need a wheelchair. no Donald Trump and Joe Biden interest in cases to men elderly either one of them should be allowed to run for President of the United States. I don’t see their age playing a role in how they function mentally. I may think Donald Trump needs to be in jail for crimes he committed, but he can function politically, just like the people who want to elect him want him to. He can do the job they would like him to do and his age isn’t a factor. The same is true for Joe Biden. Yes, the man is old. Yes he’s boring. Yes he is not fun. He’s like white paint Boreen, but the man can function as a politician. He should be allowed to do his job as President of the United States, and if he wants to run again, and he can win reelection good for him.
Leave it to Pletka and Todd to play both sides. Schumer, Biden, Pelosi no where near show the signs of aging that McConnell does. In fact all three are cognitively functioning quite well.
If Biden wins, America will have its first female President. Biden wont have the mental or physical ability to run our country effectively.

When my mom did this.. she had a brain tumor. I remember we were in the car and I was driving from NYC. She just stopped talking and stared. Then she came back and I tried to drive directly to the hospital but she said no to take her home. She later told me she could hear me but just couldn't respond. I don't know whats happening with Mitch but for sure, they know and they are not talking…
