Interesting Senator Cramer said we can’t take ppl’s rights away (regarding guns) and that we’re the freest country in the world. Whose rights and free for whom? He had no problem taking women’s healthcare rights away, in some states, GOP politicians have banned trans minors from having access to the healthcare they feel is right for them, some have banned trans girls from playing girl’s sports, republicans have passed laws banning teachers from teaching that some families consist of two mommies or two daddies, they’ve forced the removal of LGBTQ, African American, trans books from public school libraries, in some red states, drivers can legally hit protesters w/their cars if the protesters r in the street, businesses can’t require negative Covid tests/vaccines in Florida, the right to protest, peacefully, can be infringed upon and u can be assaulted by police whenever a president gives the order, the government can lock up asylum seekers and kidnap their children if the asylum seeker crosses between the ports, the government can retaliate against private enterprise if the business speaks out against a law they don’t think is right, gutting the Voting rights act, incarcerating more ppl than any other country, etc. The republican Supreme Court justices have been placed on the bench to reverse all the policies which benefit the M&L classes/labor, and increased rights and freedoms for the M&L classes/labor the ppl achieved throughout the 1900/2000’s. Get used to losing ur rights, freedoms, and social/safety net programs for the M&L classes bc SCOTUS will continue reversing all the gains for M&L classes to the early 1900’s or before. When republican politicians say we can’t take ppl’s rights away, they mean white men’s rights.
