First lady Melania Trump has spoken out for the first time since the riots at the U.S. Capitol. Trump called the fatal attack on the Capitol “shameful” and also took aim at “salacious gossip” about herself. NBC News’ Shannon Pettypiece explains what kind of “gossip” the first lady is referring to.

I don't know if anyone has thought of or mentioned this in previous comments but maybe her husband was with her the entire time when she put out this statement and he perhaps therefore had a large influence on it considering he no longer has access to twitter now which was his main way for making direct announcements to Americans. Also I personally want to say that I think Melania, Ivanka and his other daughter Tiffany are good genuine women who were put in an unfortunate position that they had no control over. If you really put yourself in their shoes, its not very fair to judge them based on the actions of their father. As far as his sons goes that is different (Don Trump jr and Eric Trump), there really is no apparent empathy to be found there, they both clearly have had a persistent/relentless effort to defend his corrupt, narcissistic, father and obviously are perfectly okay with being not only enabling it and shoving a blind eye but also being complacent. They are just two losers and younger narcissistic versions of their father who clearly want to keep their fathers (and theirs) legacy from not being shown as the absolute truthfully vile shame and disgrace that it is. He is undoubtedly America's WORSE U.S. present all in history. Ego driven maniac who cares nothing about his own narcissistic and pathetic need for power and control. Now this country is about 10 trillion dollars in debt from he started, he is racist, wants to build 200 foot concrete walls that are unnecessary and provenly ineffective (which is a complete waste of US taxpayer dollars but he doesn't care!) Even worst than Nixon and also the ONLY one to end up getting impeached twice. I mean his own he's had for years ended up going to prison and then writing a tell all book. His own sister, a supreme court judge, wanted to impeach him. Also a little fact for fun, his niece is a clinical psychologist and wants him out of office and in jail.
