Authorities say a Michigan woman and two of her children, ages 3 and 9, were found dead in a field in Pontiac after wandering the streets for days. WDIV’s Rod Meloni reports.

This was so very sad… mental illness (possibly and/or drugs) killed three despite the efforts of family and others. 💙
And that is why we need better mental health education and care.
This is outrageous! Knowingly ignoring a mentally ill mom with two poor kids, so young in life!

Cops have K-9s, Why didn't the dogs find them? The real problem goes back to when Nancy Reagan got the law changed so that no one can be locked up against their will. We need to fix that, so they can be locked up in a care facility that actually cares. All of us need to actively support the care of others. It is called civilization.

Why weren't helicopters sent out to find them? Can't believe those kids were just left to die like that 😢
The search couldn't have been that urgent, helicopters with thermal cameras or at least dogs could have been used. No expense is spared for criminals but not even thermal goggles could be used for children in harms way after several calls about them? 🤷♀
Mental health is an issue we don’t take seriously enough. Hearth goes out to the family, the late mom and kids and the surviving daughter. This is heartbreaking.

Everyone blames mental disease. I think these cops are getting so out of line lately, they literally scaring people to death. Rather die in a field than get harassed by police for watering your neighbors flowers. Real talk.
