Not trying to be mean but why are they just now going to do something because it's Taylor Swift? What about every other woman who has had this happen, but now oh it's a problem?
As sick as we are of Taylor Swift, no one cares.
As someone who uses AI image generation tech (to create art), I can tell you there's definitely no "putting the toothpaste back in the tube". The people who are making deepfake stuff are running the code on their own computers at home. ALL of the companies who use the same technology have had guardrails, to stop users from doing this sort of stuff, for over a year. It really does come down to social media and what they are willing to do to stop deepfakes from going viral. But there's absolutely no way to stop people from making deepfakes, in the first place. That genie is out of the bottle.
