    Putting a MS engineer in charge of AI regulations is like putting George W. in charge of regulating banks.

  2. AI will cause the greatest transformation of society that no one can even imagine. Social media will be seen as a blip compared to the dominance of AI in the business world.

  8. One very key difference between nuclear weapons and AI is that nukes require a full-on state infrastructure to produce them. In contrast, AI can be developed on anyone's computer. Granted, the most advanced AI algorithms require multiple computers and terabytes of data. But again, technology marches on and these could very well be the specs of a personal computer ten years from now.
