The countries that folks are fleeing from & taking refuge are the same countries where extreme autocratic capitalism is taking place, funded by corporations coming from rich countries like the US & UK.
I wouldn't leave where i am at either if there wasnt so much violence, famine & death in an concentrated area dictated by those that get rich from international suits screwing things up.

That is some business model, running an organization based on using unpaid American volunteers. Contrast that to the payments to the border crossers, foreigners who get debit cards (plastic cash), free transportation and, eventually, free housing and food stamps.
Country is in bad shape and government in grid lock with the boys in DC playing politics.
