As much as I hate to say it but McConnell stepping down from the leadership role is better than him dropping completely as here in Kentucky we have a democratic governor who is willing to replace McConnell with a democratic replacement which would definitely hurt the Republican parties slim majority. We have to remember there is light at the end of the tunnel when McConnell term ends in 2027
