FDA gives guidance on Covid-19 vaccines: the new bivalent booster dose that targets both of the original Wuhan strain and the Omicron BA4+5 strains is to be given at least 2 months after the primary monovalent 2-dose vaccine sequence that targets only the original Wuhan strain. If someone on the world who never gets any covid-19 vaccine and wants to get covid-19 vaccines now, he/she has to go through the slow process of at least 3 months to build up the immunity against the currently popular and extremely fast-spreading Sar-cov2 strains, Omicron BA.4 and BA.5. Why cannot he/she get immediately a sequence of 2 doses of the new bivalent vaccine ( wait one month between each dose) and skip the original vaccine sequence? Going straight to the bivalent vaccine is to get protection asap against not only the currently spreading Sar-cov2 strains, the Omicrons but also against the ancestors, deceased Sar-cov2 strains, Alpha, Beta, Delta, etc? Going straight to the bivalent vaccine not only save time but also the resources for both of the vaccinee and the vacciner. Going straight to the bivalent vaccine sequence makes it more simple for disadvantage patients to get the full coverage against all of the past and the present trains with a less chance of losing them in the follow-ups.
