I find it amusing how officials 'supporting" people coming across illegally always say that local taxpayer won't have to pay for the care of migrants but the federal govt will. Where does the federal govt get their money from? Federal taxes paid for by all Americans. Another thing I find amusing how mayors of sanctuary cities always say ,we want to greet them and help them along to their destinations. Ha Ha. America was the destination and your city fits the bill. Im sure there are many businesses that would be happy to have them working long hours with no benefits and low wages. However the big picture doesn't take into account that the health and welfare system will be overwhelmed. I know most migrants say they come to work with children accompanying them. But finding a home, daycare,healthcare bills, insurance etc will undoubtably lead to food stamps, medicaid,etc.The "American Dream" aint cheap. Finally,if I hear one more immigrant advocate say how much money this country has,Im going to yell outside my front door, thats the 2% with all that wealth.
