People have lost hope when we have governments who are destroying their lives
Never give up!!! Keep trying until you get the help you need. Talk to a doctor, a trusted friend, a family member, someone, a minister, anyone, don't throw your life away like a piece of trash. I know depression is not fun, I know, I suffered from it too decades ago really bad!!! Reach out for help, don't let yourself get worse by sinking deeper into yourself, that won't help. And if someone reaches out to you, don't run away, tell them what's wrong. Don't be scared or ashamed, tell him ( or her) what's bothering you. And if they are willing to help you, please let them!!! Don't tell yourself that no one cares, and so on. Get help right away, if you don't, it will only get worse. Don't let depression rob you of the joy you so rightly deserve. Everyone deserves to be happy, so take that step to get the right help. It's never to late to change for the better. Please don't give up, because there is a way out of depression, all you have to do is ask. There is plenty of help out there, please find someone who will help you. You will be glad you did. There are people who care in this world. The sooner you get help, the better. Don't let depression win, defeat it with positivity and more. Put depression in prison, that's where it belongs.
How many are Veterans?
Talking about it will make even worse
I understand! Wooof– this place called Earth reaks. It's a great place, but still . . .
why is everyone shocked? have you seen the economy?
Also better help needs provided when sought.
America has no universal healthcare, no universal education, people don’t get paid a livable wage like other nations. You can’t go anywhere without being shot cause of gun violence. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. The planet is being destroyed from climate change, overpopulation and greed. Women don’t have reproductive rights anymore. Social media is addictive and making people lonely and depressed and have anxiety. Our nation is at risk of being a dictatorship. Kids are being killed from gun violence like school shootings everyday. Is it a wonder why this happened???
I know this might sound silly, but drink your water, get enough protein, take your vitamins. That can go a long way!!!
Ppl don't wanna talk about it or say anything about it, because sometimes you can lose certain American rights once diagnosed. Oh and social media is destroying Americans mental health, causing suicides. But none of our government are making big changes with social media platforms, all of them.
Get help folks. The brain is no different an organ than the heart.
Fine with me. Less ppl to feed and provide housing. We need population control.
Thats how depressing our government has made life.
How do we pay for it???? Are you kidding?
We are the richest nation on the planet. The president just authorized a military budge for just shy of 1 Trillion (that is x 1000 billions) dollars just for a single year?
I am single, lonely and feel like a worthless failure. I am thinking about suicide. I am trying to find a reason to live.
Talk…talk…talk. But never any solutions. That is the common thread in our current society.
China and Russia if your watching. No need to go to war with America. Just need time.
Not everything is mental illness. Some people are suffering from financial depression from losing jobs, homes etc. I can only pray they get the help needed.
People out here thinking that money fancy car fancy clothes will keep you happy a bigger house will keep you happy and you know that is not true
People Out here disguising themselves to be somebody.-They are not /people out here trying to fit in. Or trying to be cool or cruel to get what they want.
The only answer to a better life is to be good to yourself, and be good to other people
Love yourself and love other people all people
You will have a better life
Continue with the BS and you won’t have a good life!
American societey is as broken, dysfunctional, divided, radicalized, abandoned, and unloved as EVER !!
People get their dopamine from all their digital use.. so much bad stuff on the web, especially sexualized content. Not good for any mind.. leads to lots of BAD outcomes. Pray up and REPENT – turn back to God!
Biden wants a terror attack
Hope they knew Jesus
Thanks Lord for your salvation
Presumably victims of suicide were profoundly & acutely depressed & unhappy.
What are some things that can contribute to serious depression and the inability to cope with life's struggles?
Nutrition and Healthy Habits will probably help.
Money problems and Employment can be a reason for serious depression and unhappiness.
when you are forced to hear about Donald Trump everyday of the year you just want it all to go away. there is nothing positive in the news ever and a corporate tax credit and saving 5 cents on the gallon is not going to change your life
22 a day are vetrans forgotten by their country they would still fight an die for. Give up everything in life for…

50,000 suicides, the real numbers on Bidenomics. O well everyone i know has walked away from the system and is living out in the woods or in a vehicle at this point. Just a few more cheated elections and there won't be a world to walk around in anymore. But i'm sure the Biden and Obama famiies aren't missing any calories…or meeting with the chinese lol.
Hey we should steal the election! Obama needs his 4th term! Good plan, if you like living under a bridge in a tent. Go Go woketards!
"the nation is in a mental health crisis" … ends the video with "follow us on Anti-social media"
It's terrible living in the US. I hate it here now…
i weep tears of joy almost daily & sometimes bawl hard in joy. wish i could share Jesus Who Is my JOY w/others
Corporate American materialistic slavery, keeping up with the Jones Instead of finding your own mental, physical, spiritual, financial peace and freedom ! Can easily put you into a have and have not delusional suicidal mental state of mind. You're just a part of this world's ego system. We are all here on this earth going to thought this thing call life for so many seasons find your owen peace !
Bidenomics is killing the entire country.
A second term of Biden could result in those numbers doubling.
please do not take your life , do not think about doing suicide , you can talk or write with me , will try to help you , beste wishes 2024 ,
Of course it's a record high. If you remove God–that is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit (I'm Catholic)–from American society, suicide starts to look like a reasonable life choice if you feel you've been dealt a bad hand. If you don't believe that God exists, getting off the Merry-Go-Round is "no harm, no foul". In Canada they are working to approve various forms of mental illness to be included as an acceptable indication for euthanasia. Are we doing that here in the US? I bet there is an effort to do that. I read that LGBTQ people attempt or commit suicide at a rate that is 2 to 3 times the national average. Keep in mind. Females "attempt" suicide. Males commit suicide. The vast majority of males commit suicide when they make that decision.
I wrote the following on 16 May 2018 in rslashfuturology. I was commenting on an article titled "More kids, especially girls, are thinking about suicide. It’s not clear why" from NBC News in 2018.
"The article states it is in good part social media. Yes, it is. Do you believe that the influence and impact of social media is going to become less as time goes forward?
When I was in high school (9th grade–1975-age 14), it was bad enough if say, 4 people in your grade condemned you for slights real or imagined, or your physical appearance or your behaviors. It could make you feel right bad for a while, but eventually you would get over it. You had the sanctuary of home and family. And I daresay, spirituality and religion. You had support to let you know you were ok and the world was ok.
Nowadays, starting at around I would say, about 2007 when the IPhone came into existence with true mobile social networks, I bet that is when things really started to change. It was a slow burn, sure. Mobile social media did not really come into its own until the last 5 years or so. Now we have things like Instagram, Whatsapp, Snapchat and Youtube, since FB is no longer considered "cool" with the under 21 set. BTW I know that FB is insanely cool with people over the age of 30 though.
Anyway, now take that bullying and disparagement in 1975 HS and extrapolate it to today wherein hundreds, nay thousands can instantly praise or condemn you. Brutally and effectively. There is literally a "hive mind" of brilliantly clever memes to laser your immature impulsive mind with surgical precision.
There of course is no sanctuary. You are psychologically addicted to your mobile life. You cannot give it up. You live for every happy squirt of dopamine your post in social media gives you in replies. God help you if its not enough or no replies. You literally live in a void of nonexistence then. You continue on the couch and even at the table, assuming you eat as a family. Can you imagine not having a mobile? And don't bother your mom, she is busy with FB on the laptop at the table. She has her own social media issues. I bet a lot less people go to church than did in 1976. So there is likely no spirituality in your life either. BTW, another reason it is more a girl thing than a boy thing is the boys are far too busy with Fortnite and Minecraft to worry about such silliness as fitting in.
(Link removed, so that comment doesn't get kicked)
This is not everybody of course. Most youth do just fine with school and sports and programs. And have wonderful families and support. And spirituality. But it is a growing problem that as I said is not going to become *less*. The statistical bump now is the canary in the coal mine.
Really what I see here is the issue of the "technological singularity" rapidly approaching. These incredible conflicts with human psychology and even physiology. Just wait until ubiquitous VR and the inevitable social VR is added to the mix. Societal addiction on a massive scale.
I think we are now in the phase of the "pre-singularity". The rapidly changing world, and I mean rapid. Like nothing humanity has ever experienced in it's entire recorded existence. This not the train, the telegraph or the airplane. This time it's the human mind being usurped.
The suicides across the board are going to worsen. For the over 40 set it's also the impact of financial inequality, opioid abuse and type 2 diabetes. And again, little evidence of God in their lives."
