Can I add something? 1.4 billion is the population of China. Mandarin is the native language of 'only' 940 million of those. There are many languages spoken in China. It is also debatable that Modern Standard Arabic is the native language of any Arabs. It is a learned second language. And the easiest language is the one closest to your own so it all depends what your own language is. Norwegian and Swedish are probably the easiest languages to learn if your native language is English.
