Hope that some republicans cross the aisle and get Jeffries elected Speaker. The Republican Party needs to face facts that they are so divided that they need to pass the responsibility to the speaker to a party that is not just united but knows what they stand for. I think the Republican Party needs to reconvene and discuss who they are now. There is no leadership of their party right now.

Anyone who made deals with Donald Trump should be barred from any office. The FBI and DOJ are still investigating Trump's actions. I have a great deal of faith in the DOJ and FBI. I do not believe claims from Trump supporters that the FBI and DOJ are politically motivated. There is a very high bar for these investigations. A conspiracy in the FBI and DOJ would have to overcome a very large number of obstacles. When we compare the work of the FBI and DOJ to random tweets and claims from Donald Trump and his supporters, the credibility of the FBI and DOJ are miles and miles above Trump.
The McCarthy referrendum is a perfect example of the goals of Russian efforts to interfere with our government. Trump's staff have proven ties with Russia. I would not be surprised to learn that most of the sensitive and classified material from Mar-A-Lago, Trump's storage, and documents handled by Trump in the oval office were made available to Russia.
We need a firewall between loyal Trump supporters and public office. The credibility of those who supported Trump should be considered on the same level as one of Donald Trump's tweets or utterances. Trump is the gold-standard of corrupt self-interest. Any security clearances held by Trump supporters should be re-evaluated in detail.
Here's an idea whose time has come, why don't the Democrats convince 8 or so Republicans to vote for Jeffries? 🤣😂
