Hurricanes develop off Mexico every year. We used to play in the tropical storms in So Cal every single year. Brings good surf and replenishes aquifers. It's how nature works. It brings rain to the parched deserts. The problem is all the asphalt. Everything is paved over so the water is not soaking into the ground naturally. Another issue is the raw sewage that will be released from Mexico's 'sewage plant'. The fecal bacteria level in California's waters will be unsafe for months. A stew of turds.
What's more crazy is that this never happens, but the one saving grace of southern California's infrastructure is that they are designed to deal with flash floods and rain. Its just that it always happens in the winter
