    I'm gonna need to see the source on 40% of all trips in the US being under 2 miles. Because even those people living like rats in cities and taking filthy public transportation almost always need to go further than 2 miles.

    Good idea, as long as you don't work 30 miles from your job or have kids to take somewhere to.
