  1. In Hollywood's realm, a thunderous roar,

Actors and writers, a union once more.

Sag-Aftra's call, on that fateful day,

For fairer deals, they refused to sway.

Writers and actors, on picket lines they stand,

A strike's mighty grip, across the land.

Sixty-three years of silence were broken,

    Their demands, they've ardently spoken.

Netflix and streaming, in the spotlight's glare,

The growth they've seen, beyond compare.

Actors and writers, their voices raise,

For a share of earnings in streaming's blaze.

As history's pages, in Hollywood turn,

The strike's impact, a lesson to learn.

In unity, they strive for their rights,

In the entertainment world's dazzling lights.

  2. I can't speak to what's happening at SAG-AFTRA but I can about WGA. What the guild doesn't want the public to know is that there is a growing rift among its members and executive group. This started back in 2019 when the guild went after talent agencies over package deals. I won't bother detailing the fight since you can look it up and decide who was right and wrong for yourselves, but in the end WGA "won" the fight. Won is in quotes because it was pyrrhic victory. Less writers are working and they're making less money.

Lower ranking members are seeing the same thing happening all over again. They're losing work and income while financially secure union fatcats are able to weather the storm. Any dissent is quickly quashed with threats of being exposed as anti-guild, against solidarity and ostracized. Many writers left the industry after the last fight whether on their own accord or because they had no choice because they couldn't get the work they used to. More writers are leaving now as well because of the unstable work environment and a continuing trend where the few rich powerful members are speaking for themselves over the interests of the weaker and voiceless majority.

Studios are not "feeling the pinch". Not yet anyways. They've had contingency plans in place for a long time and they're using this strike as an opportunity to clean slate. Making strategic deals with overseas studios and non-guild producers, quashing unfavorable deals, and redirecting funds to more pressing needs. There's more pressure on WGA to come to an agreement than on studios.

  3. "Coming out of covid" double speak is not pleasant to notice 😢

  4. I don't care about Woke Hollywood. Stay closed down.

  5. People should watch DVDs, vhs, and older shows and movies instead of going to the movies and using streaming services in solidarity with the actors and writers, I deleted all streaming services and haven't been to a movie theater in months. I've just been reading, drawing and occasionally watching the news. Give these people what they're asking for!

  6. Hollywood has done a great job of making itself irrelevant. The writers and actors have not done much to garner support from the public. They come across as arrogant, spoiled, loudmouths.

  7. Oh, I miss my daily dose of PC TV shows and film. I need all those endless sequels.

  8. You got no more power writers.. the days of having only channel 2 4 5 7 9 11 13 are over.. I’d rather watch youtube over the crap anyone produces now.

  9. I expected more than BS from ABC, but was disappointed. The Studios aren't feeling any pinch at all. In fact, the strike allows the studios to SAVE Billions by cancelling no-longer-viable contracts. This will continue until at least 2024. Studios will go through the motions of being "at the table", but they are going to follow the money SAVINGS to the end. Meanwhile they are contracting to bring in product from independent and foreign sources that aren't subject to the WGA restrictions. Bottom line is it'll be months before it stops being beneficial to the Studios to keep the strike going. In this situation, the WGA has ZERO leverage. Also, not expecting a 7-month strike, the WGA finances are running on critical.

  10. She keeps insulting her boss at the end of the day she and her Hollywood woke members lost😂😂😂

  11. If studios are feeling the pinch the woke Hollywood liberals must be feeling a sucker punch😂😂

  12. Just make a deal, stop the strikes, and continue making new shows and movies please. The world will get bored if the production of entertainment stops😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

  13. These lazy strikers should all learn to code.

  14. TBH let the AI write the shows. Computers don't strike.

  15. It's pathetic. If they keep striking then nothing new will be created. If nothing new is created they don't get paid. Get a bloody grip.

But also on another note. Maybe try to created something original. It gets boring with 9 shows so similar ( EG NCIS & CSI).

  16. Both Unions need to face the reality that many don't have jobs because there's less work than ever before, and there's no turning back. People have abandoned traditional entertainment for Social Media to a degree that some rarely see anything else and even Streaming can't put a dent in its billions of daily views. Indeed some popular actors are crossing the picket line as it were to stream themselves to their fans including those who protest the loudest but get paid where others get nothing. Breaking up SAG is overdue since its that far reaching and a monopoly if its kicks someone out who dares work outside it they can literally never have an acting job again. Indeed many who have regular jobs more dream of being a working actor like generations before did even in small parts but those days are dead..

  17. Stay 💪 Union Members 👍💞

  18. They might have to get a real job and stop pretending!😮😊

  19. Power to the people! Keep fighting the good fight!

  20. Last time in a movie theater was
    FORREST GUMP.
Boy now that was a good movie.

  21. AI does better writing, let's be Honest…maybe 10% of what comes out of Hollywood has any sort of original thought in it.

  22. A Brit trying to sound yanky.

  23. Is this from the future? It's september
    Support the strike

  24. According to the financials nobody cares because the studios are producing garbage and hemorrhaging money.

  25. " Ahhh nobody cares" Burt Reynolds.

  26. (Daniel 9:27 was fulfilled in August 13 2023 also when the woman began travailing in birth in order to fulfill the time of the gentiles, three riders were released within 2020 and 2023. These words are true and worthy, he who has ears to hear let him hear.)

"And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven."

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh."

Bible, Gospel of Luke, chapter 21.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 16 to 18.

"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep."

First Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 3 to 6.

"Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee."

    Acts, chapter 8, verse 22.

"Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."

Gospel of John, chapter 3, verse 3.

"From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."

Gospel of Matthew, chapter 4, verse 17.

"After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight."

    Hosea, chapter 6, verse 2.

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

    Peter, chapter 3, verse 8.

"knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."

    Peter, chapter 3, verse 3 to 4.

"For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape."

First Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 3.

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."

First Thessalonians, chapter 4, verse 16 to 17.

"in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

First Corinthians, chapter 15, verse 52.

"I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left. Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left."

Gospel of Luke, chapter 17, verse 34 to 36.

  27. Everyone is going to feel the pinch of this

  28. Nobody seems to care.
    I don’t.

  29. Can’t wait for the Fake Media to start laying off, haha

  30. Fascists against Fascists 🙂🙂🙂I focking love it. Hope they drive movie companies even more broke

  31. They are desperate! I quit some streaming platforms and the emails for me to come back is embarrassing for them. Like drug addicts looking for a a fix.

  32. Stay strong, keep striking bookburners ! The world supports you, please strike right into the next century so our myths, histories, books, legends and classics are safe for a few years.

  33. I know not every one like overseas content like japanese anime and Korean TV/movies, and very obviously Netflix, disney plus and amazon are investing more on this contents , i guess it will take longer time for negotiations to be settled.

  34. Rich people wanting more money smh

  35. Let’s face it the era of real films is just about over. Streaming services are making their own cheap versions of “movies” and people are just fine with settling for cinema light garbage. And they’re also being legitimized by aging actors who see the writing on the wall and settle for an easy paycheck. Yes this means you Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

  36. Maybe AI writers will leave out farts, burps, nose poking, azz scratching and mass killings and all other disgusting content that people tend to imitate and do in real life.

  37. Jimmy and Jimmy and Stephen have millions and millions.
It's the writers and tech people and staff who don't.

  38. Divided you beg, united you bargain.

  39. Its October? Really? Is it?
