This is insane! What a bitter and nasty woman to act in such a way. It sounds like her neighbours were well aware of her "peculiarities".
Should be charged with the damage she did to the kids as well. They all need to sue her into the ground.

See i have a crazy neighbor who lives next door always causing problems. I had to confront her while she held a hammer and a bottle of jager walking around outisde spewing nonsese, threatening everyonemeanwhile im 2 months pregnant. Police know this woman by bame but i guarantee nothing will be done until someone gets hurt.
Crimes have a threshold after which its not longer useful to consider what would be cruel and unusual punishment. Just make her suffer in theatrical and sickening ways that make us all feel better, that's the only way to salvage these situations.

Seems like this was an ongoing neighbor issue. In retrospect the police should have been called to investigate & intervene well before this incident & certainly with this incident (no reports to the contrary) . The other neighbors seem to know that this was an ongoing problem but stayed un-involved. What a crazy country we live in. If her stand your ground defense fails, I guess her next defense will be because of mental defect.
