Never-before-seen footage from ‘Rust’ set obtained

Never-before-seen footage from the set of ‘Rust’ taken days before the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins was exclusively obtained by NBC News. The video shows Alec Baldwin preparing for scenes, firing weapons and interacting with crew members. NBC News’ Chloe Melas reports.

The videos are among dozens that special prosecutors requested from Rust Movie Productions LLC in the spring and didn’t receive until October, according to a source familiar with the matter. NBC News hasn’t reviewed the rest of the videos.

  1. NBC news … more like NPC news

  2. Baldwins fault. If anyone ever hands you a gun and says it's unloaded you still have to check it yourself. Jail

  3. About time he gets held accountable

  4. How Jason Lee died.. bet it was staged has to be.

  5. As they should,if it was someone else I would say it was a accident, but with him no.further more anyone who has ever handled a gun knows a empty gun and a gun loaded weigh and feel completely different.you could blind fold me and have me pick up all kinds of guns and I could tell which ones were loaded and which weren't off of weight.he wanted to see if he could get away with murder and so far he has

  6. He will definitely be charged with videos being posted like this

  7. Honestly this seems like a tragic accident, I honestly don't think that this was intentional at all, I think this is a prosecutor trying to make a name for him or herself and I think a lot can be learned from this however I don't think that he should be charged with manslaughter let alone charged at all, now the person that handed him the gun With bullets in it, they may need to be charged, it was their job their duty everybody knows that.

  8. How was he negligent? It's a terrible tragedy but if he didn't know a live round was on set then he is not at fault. I don't think we're getting the whole story.

  9. “I was told, I was handed an empty gun? “ I assume he’s never had a basic gun safety course.. Every gun is loaded until you check yourself. Feel a little bad he’s so ignorant. That’s involuntary manslaughter.

  10. Fry Alex!! His brother should’ve won an Academy Award for “Fled”

  11. leave the man alone; he is innocent. This court system is evil.

  12. This was a horrible accident and no way should Baldwin be charged. The prop person messed up by having any live rounds in set.

  13. Who made the decision to use REAL guns? It just doesn't seem reasonable in this day and age of advanced technology cgi sound effects props etc. that there is really any "need" to use real firearms. And how on earth real bullets getting onto the set? So from my perspective, it just seems there has been a bad decision making going on from the get go, and that live bullets getting onto the set shows a real mess of irresponsibility and lack of real leadership and supervision. If Baldwin producer he's among those in charge who are ultimately responsible for a dysfunctional and dangerous set. The new videos show he was aware of the dangers so that actually doesn't look "good" for him. And he was the one holding a REAL gun with REAL bullet and fired that REAL firearm killing a human being not as famous or influential as himself. Why is he getting more sympathy than the victim? So he was a producer and literally holding the smoking gun, so that would make him doubly responsible. The charges of manslaughter look accurate to me. But also it seems the whole situation was bad and so all the higher ups who were involved in bad decisions like real guns and failed to supervise letting the set devolve into anarchy of firearms and real live bullets, all the higher ups need held accountable. The whole situation is unacceptable and no one should simply accept it as "normal." Unless want more manslaughter to happen again.

  14. I obviously was not there, but I believe his first words were I would never point a load of gun to anyone and he didn’t knew it wasn’t loaded something like that. I believe that he hold some blame, not manslaughter or murder, but something.

  15. Gutierrez needs to be held accountable. The crayola head Armourer was responsible for the firearms.

  16. Why would they have to get out of the path of the gun if it was shooting blanks.

  17. Baldwin is Liberal that wished imprisonment on others. So i have absolutely no sympathy if he does get charged.

  18. He was told it was empty… to me it sounds like someone else should be taking the blame

  19. How does this even make sense unless he knew a live round was in the prop gun? SMH

  20. Thats how bruce Lee son got killed

  21. I knew it was premeditated when the media did the article on the young female gun handlers. Alec knew she was new. He knew he could use her inexperience as way to make her seem sloppy and careless. She’s the daughter of a major Hollywood gun handler. However, she was just a pawn in all of this. Alec killed who he was aiming for. He executed his plan flawlessly. But as I always tell my children. What you do in the dark always comes to the light. Always. Hence, the prosecution will have ZERO problem proving its case beyond a reasonable doubt in court. Context is huge. Intent is huge.
    He’s toast!

  22. This doesn't look good but a live round being in the gun is the issue for me.

  23. Even though Baldwin is a big lib, this case against him bothers me. I understand a civil case but a criminal case seems unjust to me. Unless they can show he put live rounds in the gun or had knowledge of it immediately prior to the incident, it's simply not right.

  24. I see the Mexican government has their picks and chooses. MEANWHILE SHANQUELLA ROBINSON's KILLERS ARE STILL ON THE LOOSE HERE IN THE STATES!
    #JusticeForShanquellaRobinson

  25. Wait until Alec starts complaining about the justice system. It will finally be a Good imitation of Trump. And he will be vindicating Trump at the same time. Poetic.

  26. Not Alec , it should be the Armorer 's fault.😮

  27. WTFISHAPPENING???

I BET SHE WAS A SACRIFICE!!! THAT'S HOLLYWOOD!!!

  28. Cómo la lloran, POS si por eso les pagan a los prros

  29. Soooo yes every firearm should be treated as loaded until PROVEN empty, although if the entire crew cast and staff are the only ones handling these firearms and all the other fail safes have been met, no live ammo, all blank ammunition has been stored and in marked containers, yada yada yada and all live ammunition has been stored and in marked containers, locked away and set aside and communicated to everyone, why should he be re charged? I could argue devils advocate and say before each scene, check the loaded ammunition, yada yada yada but this is a movie, people make mistakes and assumptions yada yada yada. PERSONALLY, he shouldn’t be re charged. Call it a freak accident or investigate the staff in charge of ordering, storing and loading the ammunition. This could go in circles. He shouldn’t be charged

  30. The "Rust" crew may have loaded the gun…

  31. This just proves Alec’s innocence. He knew the gun was loaded, and kept his finger off the trigger. He looked out for other’s safety. That said, none of this changes that fact that it’s not Alec’s fault. It’s the armorer’s fault.

  32. Charging him is ridiculous. I am not even a Baldwin fan, don’t care. But it’s obvious someone backstage messed something up.

  33. This proves nothing. He’ll be acquitted and everyone will move on with their lives.

  34. Why is there any live ammo on a set… This is straight up Idiocracy.

  35. Playing with guns in the desert they knew what they were doing .

  36. Democrats support Baldwin Republicans support the victim, when both sides support the opposite we will never know the truth.

  37. He should be charged. Not murder but Involuntary manslaughter. He was acting irresponsibly with potentially dangerous tools on a job that he is ultimately in charge of.

  38. Why is it wreckless to point a prop gun at someone? Do the prop rounds shoot actual debris? How many people would honestly let an adult whose hair looks like that handle your firearms?

  39. He sounds so consciously safe in the clip. I want to know more about the armorer's credentials.

  40. This is a tremendous help towards Baldwin if anything

  41. Somebody wanted her dead, and i dont think it was Alec…
