Remember this war didn't start in 2022, it started back in 2014 when there was a coup in Ukraine which triggered violence across the country.
Both sides see this as a continuation of this war.
I pray to the foolish politicians who continue to throw their soldiers lives away to sit down and negotiate. Hash out their differences without bloodshed. The sad thing is this Russian intervention was completely avoidable. At every point when negotiations were considered Boris Johnson came to derail them. When there was an attempt to sign the minsk accords in 2019, 2015, or 2014. The US government or British Government derailed them.
Civilians are being slaughtered. Tge donetsk city is being heavily shelled and mined in civilian areas. Azov sniped and executed civilians in mauriopol. And Russia did many robberies wanton killings and rapes in bucha and irpin

This whole war is just a game to these countries isn't it. Stoking hundreds of years of hatred and cultural divisions just to use Ukraine as some battering ram against Russia. Its barbaric. But it doesn't stop. When the world stopped fighting the cold war the US and UK just kept on fighting. Turkey, Bolivia, Venezuala, Colombia, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, Egypt, the Congo, Taiwan, Korea, Cuba, Nicaragua, Russia, Georgia, Kosovo. It never seems to end. After the Vietnam war I thought we'd move to peace and a sensible government but Jimmy Carter tried and failed and the Reagen years came. And with it the forever war truly began.
Now we are stuck in this cold war hysteria with 80's laws and 80's wartime policy. With a country that has no regard for the health culture or well being of its citizens. A country where communities have been ravaged by corporations, drugs, addiction, and no support. I can't take it anymore.
We treat the opposing side as demons when they are just like us. Just like us.
They have families and hopes and dreams. Theyvwould much rather throw their weapons away and live their lives in peace.
Yet still I pray. Yet still I hope. That if we put a little more love and some empathy into this world. That if we love each other faults and all that some good will come. I miss Mr. Rogers Neighborhood!
This society needs more love and more empathy. If this is what humanity has imagine the future we will head to.
We need a brighter tomorrow. We need to put our hope and strength within ourselves.
We need the courage to bring this fighting to an end even if our pompous leaders won’t.
