An 80 year old bus driver? This is unbelievable. What is wrong with this municipality? What were they thinking?

As if medical emergencies dont happen all day every day, as if an 80 year old driver should be immune to medical emergencies…
A liitle common sense, perhaps some empathy could,perhaps should be the response…. could have been so much worse. Gratitude helps. Gratitude that nothing happened to the kids that required a trip to the emergency room…
Maybe 80+ year olds need to stop being behind the wheel? It's either medical emergencies or committing the common "mistaking accelerator for brake" and crashing into store fronts like Mr. Koolaid.

Stop hiring people who aren't qualified or vetted to transport or take care of someone else's children. Or better yet homeschooling is the better option. Save your kids
NO 80 YEAR OLD SHOULD EVER BE DRIVING ANY BUS, for any age passengers. Wonder if these drivers are hired through the school district or an outside provider? The school doesn't have to pay a reasonable wage and benefits or if there is a problem deny any responsibility.

God bless the driver hopefully he’s fine. Yes America should treat elderly people with the best social security and better benefits. Criminal’s in jail gets better benefits. We should all support better elderly.

The title is wrong, the correct title should say "Bus Is Delayed For Over An Hour", not missing for over an hour.
They should be praising that driver for keeping it together enough to get the kids to safety.

This is why I don't drive. I'm epileptic, and I occasionally experience seizures, and wouldn't be able to live with myself if I injured or killed someone while behind the wheel.
It's perfectly fine for an 80 year old to drive the school bus. There are so many much younger people who've had medical emergencies. The strange part of this story is there's no tracking equipment or cameras on the bus. Seriously?!?!

Don't be so surprised that many elderly senior citizens are still working in their 80's, and 90's. The Republicans won't cut the cost of drug medications because they own stocks in medication manufacturers. Why is it so much cheaper to buy medications in Canada, yet in America, the same type and brand of medications are really expensive and eating away the money of those elderly on fixed incomes? Why? Because the GOP HATES seasoned citizens. The Democrats are always trying to lower drug costs, but the Republicans always throw up roadblocks to prevent the lower cost bills from passing.
