Three New Mexico police officers are on leave after mistakenly responding to the wrong address of a domestic violence call. NBC’s Valerie Castro reports on how officers then shot the homeowner after he answered the door with a handgun.

Always shoot first especially in your home, doesn’t matter if they are police if threatened you must defend yourself and your property. Now days nobody answers the door in the inner city without protection and you would think police officers of all people would be able to understand that . And it was the wrong house? this country really needs stronger minded intellectuals for police, looks like anyone can get a badge and a gun now days, no structure.
How many times have the police initially claimed that someone that they killed was "armed" or "acting aggressively," then later were forced to retract and tell the truth? Where is the body cam video of this, chief? Waiting until the media cycle on this story dies down?

This is why all cops need to be licensed lawyers. Most cops only have high school diplomas or 60 college credits. Most are those owe couldn’t get into college, drop out of college, or couldn’t cut it in the military. At my college all the students that didn’t graduate became police. This is why I don’t respect the law enforcement, there a collection of idiots. Look at this situation , it would wise to double check the address of the house door about to be kicked. I guess common sense is hard work for idiots.

Sounds convoluted, but still the LEOs were wrong, and should pay for the unintentional death just as if a citizen unintentional killed another.
Body cam in hours after they get it right in Nashville but under review and delayed when they screw up or under "investigation".Immediate release of body cam video should be a mandatory part of police reform!
