What she did was horrible and I pray that her child is cared for daily by good people.

I blame both parents of these two misfits that accepted them producing a child would be normal. If you know your children are not capable of these serious, responsible decisions, for God's sake, get them sterilized.
She could have so easily driven to a hospital instead of the dumpster. It's so sad she destroyed her life like this. Thank goodness the baby was found alive

This is the exact same thing that happens in late term abortion, which is just as evil. Why is late term abortion legal in some places but this is a "heinous" crime? They are both heinous. They both treat babies like trash.
Inexcusable. All she had to do was simply drop the baby off at a fire station. The firemen would've thanked her and she would've been on her way. Now she's facing 16 years because of stupidity. If she could drive to a dumpster I'm sure she could've driven to a firehouse.
She’ll probably serve 10 years max. Sort of sad cause all of this could’ve been avoided if she had a half way decent boyfriend or parents. Life is so much harder when you feel like you have no one to talk to

Where is the father? Women are often overwhelmed by childbirth, specially if she doesn't have a support system, and she has a mental disorder. Why judge her so cruelly, and not judge those who have failed her?

I wonder how much information has been lost in recent years since people stopped watching standard tv channels. We used to get public service announcements often growing up on TV like the fact you can take a baby to a fire department no questions asked. Youd think the internet would have made us a little smarter but feels like the opposite effect.
Would be nice if birth control was taught in school & by the parent’s/guardians. Adults need to start taking responsibility for their children. Definitely would ward off these kinds of actions. Karma will be her fellow prisoners, justice will be served!

This is why safe havens are important. Also, parent need to make themselves approachable to their kids. Teens hiding their pregnancies from their parents out of fear isnt good or safe
So many other choices could have been made that wouldn't have potentially killed the infant and ruined her life. She's fortunate the infant survived.
A white teenager literally buried her child in the back yard and got no time.
Great…now tax payers have to take care of her like a baby for 16 years, feed and house her while paying C.O babysitters. Can't we just do what she did and just wrap her up, dump her in cell somewhere until she stops moving so tax payers don't have to take care of her? Sounds fair to me.
