I grew up during the last time inflation ran rapid. Got my first real store bought clothes when I went into 7th grade due to no more handme downs available from my older cousins. Only had two pair of shoes. 1 pair of dress shoes to wear everyday and a pair of kmart special tennie for gym class witch turned into summer shoes. But we did have karatie class. Usually in someone front yard with no instructors and it was free. Inflation going to be with us for awhile. So practice thighting ones belt. Were only on the second inning of this ball game.

The real question is if it is absolutely necessary for $686.1 billion allocated for the Defence budget? These statitics were from 2018, and probably much higher today. $686.1 Billion is more than 3x what China spent on its defence in 2018. Additionally, with NATO so unified nowadays, shouldn't some of that cost that the US spends go down if more NATO countries are paying their fair share? If so, then perhaps shaving this a tad might be more helpful to all Americans who face shortages of food, and be able to better implement a bi-partisan infrastructure bill to fix our roads, bridges, universal access to internet, among other programs to support American families in need. Maybe I am grabbing at straws here, but imho the American people and their taxpayer dollars funding the govt. shouldn't be forgotten by those who are elected to represent them. America should identify where the wasteful spending is, and put it to better use because I am sure that basic hammers shouldn't be sold to the US govt. for highly inflated prices nor should certain govt. agencies have the expectation for their budgets to be in the RED by the end of the fiscal year to manipulate a need for more funding by basically wasting Taxpayer dollars on newly-purchased equipment/technology that go to the trash heaps instead of sharing that with communities/schools in need 1st. Waste is a BIG problem in Govt. spending.
