  1. I wouldn’t last very long as a 911 operator because I work in retail and it would be too tempting to just hang up on a nagging and exhausting person over the phone 😂😂😂😂

  2. Your job is to provide assistance. Not if I'm nice to you because I'm on HOLD with a life or death issue!
Find another job if this one is too much for you!

  3. If you voted for Biden and any democrats this is your fault!!!!!!

  4. They are underpaid. I had a fried who worked in one for 2 years and it was just a few dollars under min wage. Isn't really a career path in that field either.

  5. The application process for a 911 operator is out of this world insane, and the hiring process after that long and grueling. No wonder most centers are understaffed. Then they are underpaid, most of the time. When will employers realize that more money is a good incentive to stick it out during hard times. Being a 911 Operator is very mentally stressing work, so it is only fair that they should be amply compensated for it.

  6. Should pay your staff

  7. I wish people knew how heart wrenching and hard it is! Ìf you complain about 911 operators, they should be forced to work in a call center for 8 hours. One of the most difficult things I've ever done

  8. I recently had to call 911 in another state where family lives. They weren't able to do it themselves so it was all on me. I waited on hold for 23 minutes. They passed away about 2 weeks later & some of the cause of death had to do with delayed medical treatment.

  9. I wouldn't be a 911 operator for $100K a year. It's a 24/7, weekends, nights, no holidays, non-appreciation job. The extreme stress isn't worth your health-mentally and physically.
And the icing on the cake is the fact that people are rude, condescending and entitled- it's even worse than retail.

  10. corporate speak for: WE PAY CRAP

  11. Ironically, calling 911 is mostly useless. There is NO WAY assistance can teleport to the locations in need, and people in peril or distress will rarely proceed logically with communication, or even provide the right information when they get through. Besides, things can change from moment to moment. Beyond that, automating the processes could actually be more efficient, because dispatch could train in on GPS locations.

Anyhow, if you're being attacked, having a medical emergency, or something serious is happening… yer on your own! 😂🤣😂 No help is likely to arrive before 30-60 minutes have passed, and that is even if anyone comes at all. If you only have 3-6 seconds before you're dead, don't bother calling 911. 💪😎✌️

  12. Good to know! We also know NOTHING will be done about it.
Just like the airline crisis lol

Pay people a LIVABLE wage and guess what.
    People will WORK

  13. Look at the hiring process. I applied a few months ago. They just sent an email reminding everyone that they don't start the selection process until the closing date which is in November. It's close to a year of waiting time if you're lucky.

  14. Defund the Police…. Biden’s America….
