  1. Native Hawaiians use violence to control who can and cant use "their" beaches. These people should not be celebrated….

  2. I have read that surfing was started in Peru and can be traced further back than Hawaii

  3. Longboard surfer from the mainland (Santa Cruz, California) here! I don’t think there’s a single person, even outside of the surf community, that is unaware that Hawaiians brought surfing to California and the the world. Nor do we ignore the sport’s roots or heritage. If anything, California SPREAD the word about surfing and helped lead it to being adored worldwide! 🤙🏄‍♂️

  4. Surfing is for everyone🦆💨

  5. Love hearing about surfing wish I could do it but I don't think I have enough balance to keep myself afloat but it's great that these girls are killing it

  6. Dang, if she feels that strongly about recent Human History, imagine how she'll feel when she learns all of it. Polynesians were the last great human migration into previously uninhabited lands. Hawaii certainly isn't their native land, or it is at least as much ours as it is theirs.

She would have to stop being ethnocentric though, but she'd grow as a person from it.

I mean, it's just sad watching a modern human trying to emulate things their own ancestors wouldn't even recognize them doing. 🤔

How far back does she wish to go "respecting" her culture? The first Polynesians? The first Asians? The first Middle Easterners? The First Africans? Who cares what your Truth is if it's based on a lie?
