The fact that these children’s suffering went unaddressed despite neighbors warnings and fears shows a staggering failure of the Department of Children and Family Services and police. If they had dug deeper, or simply paid closer attention to what they already knew, they might have uncovered the family’s secret. Time and again, they failed to intervene.Thank you Jessi for speaking up for these innocent children. You did more than many that stood silent, including their father.

That father Kevin has a warped sense of parenting – he wanted to press charges against his oldest daughter for helping to get her younger siblings clothes when the children were taken into custody.
