Freeing those that was put away for marijuana is the right thing to do. I don't believe Walker, I believe his son. I don’t want to come office cold Calais sounding crew when I talk about Florida and the recent hurricane. I feel for the people who have lost someone and their things but I want to know why didn’t people leave when they were told leave why didn’t they leave? Want to know why Florida is a state continue to build property in this area knowing that a hurricane could strike don’t get me wrong I know we built some property here decades ago 50 years or more I’m not talking about that property I’m talking about recent buildings why did we continue this knowing that this was a distinct possibility not a small possibility but we know eventually all of Florida will be hit by a hurricane. It’s not even a question of if it’s a question of when a particular portion of Florida will face a hurricane. I really ask that question when I see people having built housing and lives on islands in Florida that were below sea level not at sea level not above sea level below sea level. I have relatives from Florida on my stepfather side so I understand the love for community and where are you come from But if you come from a swamp let’s be honest that’s what it was originally a swamp that’s prone to being hit by hurricanes when is it time to leave. I think about the billions and I do mean billions of dollars we will have to invest to rebuild Florida and I ask myself is it worth the money. I am not arguing the taxpayers don’t deserve the help or no they do but I’m arguing shouldn’t we say to some we need you to move somewhere else because we know one day maybe now maybe far in the future another hurricane will come and destroy all of our work and we will have to rebuild again.
At the very least I have to ask the question then if you choose to live in Florida should you be forced to shoulder some of that burden of rebuilding that will eventually come. Should the state of Florida have to keep a fund and continually add to that fund for win natural disasters strike. It’s one thing to say we don’t know the natural disaster is coming that’s not the case we know a natural disaster is coming to Florida again we just don’t know win. We know another hurricane will hit we just don’t know win and shouldn’t every resident of Florida have to contribute to a fund so that that state can be prepared when it happens.
