  7. Please keep these things on hand. Being able to treat things at home either while you wait for EMS or to prevent the illness from being bad enough to have to go to the hospital. Even if you never ever use them and the medical system in your area works like a charm it's so so important to have it as an option.

    Medical basics

    Medicine:
Activated charcoal: use for poisins, food poising or when you have an upset stomach. Can also be used for allergies or allergic reactions
Arnica tablets: good for bruises, swelling, sprains, strains or general pain. Arnica is called nature's aspirin
Electrolyte drink: used when the patient has been throwing up, has diarrhea, has taken activated charcoal for more than 3 days, or has heat stroke or heat exhaustion
    Vitamin capsules
    Ibprofen
    Tylenol
    Aspirin

    Sanitation
Witch hazel: soothing for cuts, hemeriods, yeast infections, UTI. Is an astringent
    Hand sanitizer
Doggie bags: anything with bodily fluids goes in here
Puppy pads: used to create clean area to work
    Gloves

    First aid:
Ice packs: used for sprains, strains, migraines, fevers, and if a person is in shock
    Steri strips
    Bandaids
    Ace bandages
Aloe: good for burns directly after the patient has been burned until they stop feeling the burning sensation
    Lidocane: spray and gel
    Gauze

    Herbs:
    Arnica: "nature's aspirin"
    Comfrey: cell regeneration
    Mullein: lung support
    Tumeric: anti inflammatory
    Valerian: muscle relaxers
    Chamomile: calming
    Lavender: healing
    Dandelion root: cleans kidneys
    Euclyptus: mucus clearing
    Peppermint: upset stomach

    Milk thistle: cleans liver

    Medical supplies:

    Misc
Razor: used to shave hair around wound
    Snake bite kit
Bentonite clay: used topically for bug bites, poisin ivy, hives
Colidial silver: good for burns, in nebulizer for lung infection
Base salve: good to add oils and use on cuts
    Honey
Zinc oxide: mix with colidial silver for burn cream, mix with witch hazel for rashes
    Lavender essential oil

  8. In the 1970's scientific computer models showed a trend of global warming. This extra energy would cause extreme weather. We all laughed. They said it would happen in about 40 years. We had our chance, instead of doing something, we laughed.

  9. How to start preparing.

Take three days during the work week and turn off your electric and water. Make do with what you can and write down things you needed and didn't have or tasks that were difficult. After you have this list, research alternatives
Eat, wear and consume cheaper. Choose cheaper meals to create room in your grocery budget to put back food. Wear second hand clothes or put a spending freeze on clothes shopping in order to make room to buy what you'll need for the future (especially if you have small children who grow frequently). Consume less electricity, gas, propane by finding alternatives. This may mean using a crock pot, hang drying clothes, using candles at night and opening windows for sunshine during the day etc. With the wiggle room you've created in those bills you now have some money to buy more food storage, medical supplies or invest in a small solar unit.
Make an edc bag. This is something you will carry all the time (on your person or in your car) that could provide you with what you and your family need for 3 nights. Think about what you may put into an overnight bag if you were to stay at a hotel. This will ensure even if something happens and you're out you're able to shelter in place
Understand how to take care of medical emergencies at home. Remember that in a major event, ems could be down or unavailable for sometime. While this is never the first line of defense in an emergency, understanding how to manage medical emergencies (high infections, deep wounds, pneumonia, asthma attacks, shock, 2nd and 3rd degree burns, poisoning, radiation sickness, torn ligaments, allergic reactions, excessive bleeding) while you wait on help can be life and death.
Food, water, temperature control are your highest priorities. If faced with a major event where services are limited for more than 3 days, having stored food as well as a way to cook, a way to filter and store water, and a way to keep yourself cool or warm can be life altering.

Please remember as we are entering or for some of us are already in uncertain times, having this foundation gives security as well as lowers stress. It allows us to feel more in control and gain a more positive perspective on not only our lives but the world. I'm willing to answer any questions from my own experience in the comments if you feel overwhelmed!

  10. California needs to delete it self 💀

  12. Is there actually going to be a white Christmas in July?!!!

  13. I’m not too much into March as far as weather goes

  14. The LA River descends as much elevation in 51 miles as the Mississippi River does in 2100 miles. If the flood control system in LA (including the River) somehow ever fails, it would be the biggest flood in US history.

  15. But, we werent supposed to see snow again after 2008

  16. at least california finally got their water 🤷‍♂️ instead of a huge fire

  19. Cali wanted water here she comes. I bet mead is full now

  20. Incorrect NBC. This is NOT THE FIRST Nor'easter. This is the first one of 2023 but not for winter. Did we forget about NY in November and December? Idiocy.

  21. Make sure we help minorities and LGBT people first.

  22. God giving Karma to the people who voted for woke America
