They may pretend to like children for the evangelical vote but they clearly do not GAF about adults. They sure don't have a problem with adults getting killed, they just say 'more guns' will solve it. By the same logic more abortions would solve abortions. Hypocrites.
It's not enough but it's a start, thank you representative Cotham for voting to protect babies from the horror of abortion. But nothing less than total abolition and criminalization of the murder of unborn children will suffice.

The latest efforts to return women to property of the state.
Abortion is a medical procedure that exists; it would need to be banned outright in order to get rid of it. But you can't do that because it has other applications besides contraception, and all the reasons a woman might want or need one are confidential information between her and her doctor.
Men also use the services at Planned Parenthood as well. Education about STDs, child care and preparing to become a parent. Many people don't have family to rely on so PP provides greatly needed assistance. STDs increase in areas where these services are eliminated.
PP's goal is to avoid abortion by providing free and/or affordable birth control for all women. Restricting funding for preventative health care for women will most definitely result in more abortions.
Public funds allocated to Planned Parenthood by law cannot be used for abortions. So the whole concept of defunding Planned Parenthood is ridiculous.
So NC women will now need to drive 3-4 hours to get an abortion in Virginia, Maryland or D.C.. A state is not going to be able to force women to have babies simply because it passes a despotic law.
Wether or not you’re pro choice you have to be shocked by the representative saying “babies are not burdens”…
When the reality is sadly yes they are a MASSIVE undertaking. They can’t at all take care of themselves for the first 5 years or so, you as a parent are fully in charge of raising them to become a decent human being and member of society, and they cost thousands upon thousands of dollars a year until the age of 18.
I get what she’s trying to say and that it’s coming from a place of the best intentions. That statement is just plain wrong though I wish people would stop saying it.

Notice that it's only old women and low quality women who can only attract dregs screaming about abortion "care"? If a woman is dating well, she is going to want to keep the baby in order to lock down the dude's paycheck. Tyrone has no paycheck so I guess the kid's gotta go.
The majority of abortions already occur by 10-12 weeks.
But making that the arbitrary limit is dangerous.
The abortion lobby has always realized that abortion itself is indefensible. This has forced them to argue that whether abortion is the deliberate killing of a living human being or not, is unrelated to the question of whether it should be legal. In short, they have to divert attention toward the philosophical concepts of “choice” and “who decides” because they can’t afford for the public to look at what’s being chosen and decided.

I really hope more republican women stand up like these did in North Carolina. But so many have not and many states have already passed draconian laws. It will take the courage of republican women in many other states to stand for reason!
Ms Coggins, teach your daughters not to be screwing around without birth control.
As a men I don't think we should have a say in what a woman should do with her body.
My opinion is that this is a good and fair rule. 12 weeks is fair and exceptions for medical or traumatic instances is the right thing to do.
I wish with all of my heart, that every single Conservative in south carolina would discover pregnant daughters, and granddaughters. Right now, and for at least a year. south carolina has zero cities. That is not a mistake. They have preserved the old south…a feudal system. That is how Miss lindsey has held her place, for so long.
